Medical options should be explored, but not in the face of slim possiblities or severe handicap (specifically mental handicap).
Alan would like to be taken off life support if chances for recovery (sustainable self-sufficient coherency/lucidity) are low. A brief period of time should be sufficient to determine the chances for recovery, and beyond that, the choice is given freely to Anita, and subsequently: Cathy Pennington, Jim Blount, Karen Beatty, Bryan Beatty.
Anita is in charge. She gets everything she wants, and can control what happens afterward. In the event she isn't able to control whatever I have left behind, I would like my family (Cathy Pennington, Jim Blount, Karen Beatty, Bryan Beatty) to coordinate with some of my friends (John Moore, Art Black, Marea Stamper, Kelly O'Malley, and though them others). Alan doesn't have all that much to cause issues.
