Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee on Tuesday night was fantastic. I'm out of shape and felt it during and after the 2 hours of play, but it was so much fun. I was very sore the next day and more sore the day after (thursday) but it was worth it. Honestly, it felt good to be sore - my body letting me know i've done something. There were ~ 18 guys on the field and we played from 24:00-02:00 in an indoor field in a rec. center at OSU. It was lots of fun. I want to keep going and get better (in shape and better at ultimate). I was easily the oldest one there. (that's unusual)

New Phone

I got my new cell phone arrived on Wednesday, but it didn't have a SIM card. So I called and they sent it, and it too arrived the next day. So, since Thursday I've been playing with the new phone. The service is the exact same of course, but the phone takes pictures and allows MP3 ringtones. I have DJ Sushi as my current ringtone. I have yet to get photos from the phone to the computer. I could email them, but at $.03 / K it could get expensive quickly. I'm thinking about buying a data cable so it can connect directly, but i'll have to do some research on that.

Mongolian Grill

Friday we went to BD's Mongolian Grill, a franchisie type of place. It was good food and a lot of fun (we went with anita's school friend and their friends in the vet school) but the place wasn't nearly as good as 2 Han's, in Louisville.

plastic & snow

We finally put plastic up over our 12 windows today. WE just bought a big roll of 4 Mil from the paint seciton of Home Depot. We folded the edges a few layers thick and stapleguned them to the inside of the windows. It has helped significantly. If we need more insulation, we could do another layer (probably for all of the windows) with what's left on the roll.

It warmed up to almost 35 today, but then got cold again and has snowed at least 3 inches this evening. It's the perfect type of snow - begging to be built into a snow-fort or something. Anita, Nova, and I played in it some, made a few snow mounds that Nova enjoyed destroying, and tossed a few snowballs. The cold isn't bad with 3+ layers, but the fact that the dreadful weather just hasn't ended.
